This weekend was family weekend. My family did not attend but I noticed people were having a lot of fun. One activity for parents was attending classes on Friday. This is a great opportunity for parents to see what college classes are like.
Another great thing for family weekend were sports games. The football team here played. The soccer team also had a game. McDaniel has great tailgating and there are tents all along the side of the football field where people were watching the game and cooking food. My father came freshman year and we watched the football game together.
Along with the great tailgating we now have excellent bleachers. Parents were using them this weekend. The bleachers are colored green and yellow, McDaniel colors, and spell out the letter M. Even though the team did not win everyone had a great time watching and also enjoying the new bleachers.
