Crafts!

I am sure I mentioned this before, but one great thing about the pickle is going to events in DC. This weekend I went to a bi-annual event called Crafty Bastards. It was my first time going and I had an excellent adventure with a friend.

The event was rows and rows of tents containing booths with artists and their work, which they were selling. They had someone who cast pieces of nature in metal and formed them into necklaces. Another made notebooks out of recycled books and paper. My favorite artist was the one who made jewelry shaped like skulls of dinosaurs. I had a great time.

Once this adventure was over I was able to go on yet another trip on the way back to McDaniel. I was taken out to an African restaurant, and this made me so happy. I ate food that reminded me of study abroad and relaxed with a good friend. All in all it was a fabulous weekend, all due to the new shuttle service. I can’t wait to go to the concert next week!
