Montreal

So, as I mentioned in my last post, I am traveling in Montreal! Although it is not as radically different as my trips to Ghana and Botswana, it is still exciting. I am staying in a luxurious hotel room with its own kitchen, a rooftop pool, and gym facing out over the city. Traveling with parents who have money is certainly a plus.

Montreal is a great place for a college student to go, especially one who takes French. This is my first time to a city with so many bilingual signs (although unfortunately I don’t speak much French). It is also great because there are plenty of universities, so there are a lot of other college aged students to meet.

I am so glad that I have four days to spend in this fantastic city. It is cold and snowy (a down side, I am certainly nowhere warm for spring break) but it looks like there is plenty to explore. The hotel is in the heart of the city and I will be out all day tomorrow taking in the sights and smells of a new (my ninth) country.
