Hello!
My name is Sam Wilson and I am a new McBlogger. I wanted to tell you all a little about myself for my first blog! I am a senior from New Castle, Colorado. I do miss my family and the mountains while I am at McDaniel, but I love it here on the Hill! I am so happy with my choice to go to this school across the country. McDaniel is a great place with even better people. I have made so many friendships that I know will last a lifetime.
As for academics, I am a Psychology major. I love my major because you get to learn a wide variety of what psychology entails. I have been able to participate in research with a professor, learn about all the disorders, and create my own studies. I have a Business minor and a Spanish minor as well. That is the great part about the McDaniel plan; it allows you to dabble in many different subjects, which made it much easier for me to have a major and two minors.
I am also on the Women’s soccer team! We just ended an incredible season, which included making it to the playoffs and the ECACs. I love my team and they are another family to me. The athletics are a big part of my life at McDaniel. Apart from being involved with the soccer team, I enjoy watching and supporting all of the other teams as well!
Another fun fact about me is I studied abroad the spring of my sophomore year! I went to McDaniel Budapest and had an amazing experience. Not only did I love living in Budapest, I was able to travel to six other countries! We are very lucky to have a campus in Hungary. You do not have to worry about classes or financial aid transferring because it is McDaniel so all you have to be concerned with is having an awesome time!
