Hello, McBlog readers!
My apologies for the delay in my introduction, but I was off taking advantage of my liberal arts education traveling across England, Romania, and Turkey for 3 weeks with Drs Kachur and McIntyre hunting Dracula (yes, really). Not to mention, I’m a second semester Senior, so naturally Senioritis set in about three months ago…
My name is Teal. As I said, I’m a Senior and an English major. This evening is actually my first meeting of my Senior Seminar, where I will be working under the guidance of Dr. Kate Dobson to craft a memoir for my final piece of work at McDaniel. I’m a member of Phi Mu National Fraternity (it’s actually a sorority, but we were founded before “sorority” was a word), a Peer Mentor, a Preview Guide, a member of Poe Club, and a student worker at Hoover Library. I also have an off-campus internship with a fashion company called Rent the Runway, which allows customers to rent designer dresses and accessories for events at an extremely discounted rate (it’s awesome, check it out). I’m originally a resident of Westminster, though I have lived on campus all four years. I plan to move far away from this little town as I’m looking into working either with Greek Life or Public Relations in either Toronto, Canada or New York City post-grad.
Stay tuned for more from my final months on The Hill!
Cheers!
