It’s the second snow day this week, but I have to say I like this one much better than Monday’s. Why, you ask? Well, it’s much more beautiful today, and much more relaxing.
I don’t have any homework to do for tomorrow, which is fantastic and meant I got to spend the day watching Supernatural and The Croods, playing Just Dance, and at a track practice/interest meeting. It was relaxing and fun. Despite the amount of relaxing days I’ve had since I arrived here at the beginning of January for Jan Term, they never seem to get old.
I think my favorite part of today was walking on campus, though. The tree branches are all covered in a layer of ice, which makes them glisten. It’s beautiful. It makes me daydream about Elsa from Frozen coming through campus to give us the beauty. It’s also very peaceful. The world is quiet except for footfalls and ice cracking or hitting the ground, at least when walking alone.
If I wouldn’t have known that every single place outside the cleared paths was slippery, I would have been running around with friends playing tag or frisbee in the winter wonderland. As it was, I spent some time just breathing in the air and watching the trees.
