166 Blue Cross, Blue Shield The Blue Cross Blue is an insurance company. In the context of the reading Uncle Robin left Moe “insurance” benefits to “soften” the “Insult” he had to tell him. This is not solely money per se but items that are helpful to him for “serving him well”. On page 166 Reed writes “…I leave him Blue Cross, Blue Shield, old-age pension, paid vacations, Christmas and New Year’s off, an annual ticket to a circus, coffee breaks, a scholarship for two of his children, a Year’s supply of Scotch tape, two hunting dogs, and a partridge and a pear tree…” this is the beginning of a series of thing he leaves behind before he dies. This scene is before a judge.
168 Bucolic haven  This is an ideal countryside space for living. It is peaceful and calm. Uncle Robin is asking for his final request and mentions the Yankees who invaded his “Bucolic Haven”. This is referring to the state of the plantation he ran.
